The UVA Solar Car Team strives to provide hands-on experience with sophisticated materials, computer software, and other tools in order to produce both a competitive solar racecar and technologically and environmentally savvy engineers capable of inspiring new ideas in industry. Unfortunately, such tools list among the world's most expensive assets to acquire. Your financial and material support is thus essential to our success
With your sponsorship of the UVA Solar Car Team comes a partnership yielding mutual benefits. While we gain the monetary foundation critical to our continuation, you or your company benefit on several fronts. For example, corporate sponsors gain from the extensive exposure of racing events and yearly exhibitions. Indeed, your logo will join the UVA Solar Car Team as a symbol the precocious and educationally-focused stance of your company. The following catalogues the specific benefits afforded to each sponsorship level:
Bronze Contributors: $500-$999
Contributors at this level will have their company name placed on the official UVA Solar Car Team web site and racing uniforms. In addition, the corporation name will be exhibited on the traveling sponsor board. This sponsor board will be displayed at stops throughout the entire racecourse as well as at public showings of the car.
Silver Contributors: $1,000-$4,999
Contributors at this level will have their company name displayed on all support vehicles, as well as all the above mentioned benefits. The level of funding and support given will relatively determine the size of the company name and logo.
Gold Contributors: $5,000-$14,999
Contributors at this level will have their name and/or logo displayed on the solar racecar, as well as each of the aforementioned benefits.
Platinum Contributors: $15,000 and above
Contributors at this level will have the UVA Solar Car available for exhibition at corporate public relations events. Also, these contributors will receive all the above mentioned benefits.
