| Roman Krzysztofowicz | | Professor, Systems and Information Engineering | | Professor, Statistics | | Ph.D., University of Arizona | | | | Dr. Krzysztofowicz joined the faculty in 1982, coming to the University of Virginia from faculty posts at the University of Arizona and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He directed the department's graduate program, was a founding associate director of the Center for Risk Management, and served as an expert to the World Meteorological Organization. An author of numerous articles in journals, books and encyclopedias, he is currently editor-in-chief of the Journal of Hydrology, associate editor of the Journal of Applied Meteorology, and associate editor of Stochastic Environmental Research and Risk Assessment.
