John C. Lach

Dr. Lach has served on the University of Virginia faculty since fall 2000.  He received the 2001-02 University of Virginia Teaching Fellowship and is a member of the IEEE, IEEE Computer Society, ACM and SIGDA.
 
Research Interests
John Lach’s primary research interests include embedded systems, CAD techniques for VLSI, sensor network systems, applications for the aging, general purpose and application-specific processor design, intellectual property protection, and FPGAs. Dr. Lach is the principle investigator on the Dynaptable (dynamically adaptable) Computing project, which explores dynamic, small-scale reconfiguration for increased performance, lower power consumption, and higher reliability in general purpose processors.
