Hossein Haj-Hariri
Professor, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering
Ph.D., Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Dr. Haj-Hariri joined the University of Virginia faculty in 1988. He teaches undergraduate and advanced courses in engineering and applied mathematics.

Research Interests
Dr. Haj-Hariri's research interests range from applied mathematics to applied mechanics and fluid mechanics. His two current areas of research are the modeling of interfacial flows with applications in microgravity materials processing, and computational and experimental investigation of unsteady fluid mechanics of flapping flight. Additional research focuses on hydrodynamic stability, Hele-Shaw flows, numerical techniques, and the mathematical analysis of partial differential equations.
