Carl R. Knospe
Associate Professor, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering
Ph.D., University of Virginia

Dr. Knospe joined the faculty in 1989. His work has focused on the application of modern control theory, primarily in the active control of vibration via magnetic suspension. He is an associate editor for IEEE Transactions on Control System Technology.

Research Interests
Carl Knospe's work focuses on the theory and application of advanced control systems. He is particularly interested in the analysis and control of complex, uncertain systems. One current area of investigation is systems with uncertain time delays within their dynamics.
