Nano Medicine is a named program consisting of courses meeting the requirements for a Biomedical Minor and Materials Science Minor. The Area of Concentration courses are focused around premedicine. This is a multidisciplinary field striving to understand biological processes and material interactions on the nanoscale.

Program advisors are Dr. Sean Agnew (MSE) and Dr. Kimberly Kelly (BME). Nanomeds are fully integrated into two undergraduate communities, BME & MSE. Students in the program will be uniquely positioned to take part in some of U.Va's most exciting undergraduate research opportunities.
