Research Overview

At the University of Virginia School of Engineering and Applied Science, we recognize that almost all fields of science can contribute to energy technology research.

Current energy technology research includes scholarship in the area of alternative renewable energy, including research in energy resources, fuel cell efficiencies, nanotechnology and solar energy and in the area of conservation technologies and methodologies.

Projects include those under the leadership of the Alternative Renewable Energy Group, the ecoMOD sustainable housing group and researchers in the Smart Travel Laboratory of the University of Virginia Center for Transportation Studies.
