Network with Alumni!!

Did you know that Networking is the number one way to find a job or internship?

UVA has an alumni Network and is available to all Engineering students (as well as any UVa students) called the UCAN database: www.hoosonline.virginia.edu/ucan

UCAN, stands for the University Career Assistance Network and is a database of 23,000-25,000 UVa alumni who have agreed to serve as career contacts for both students and alumni. The UCAN database is housed at www.hoosonline.virginia.edu which is a phenomenal website that has recently undergone some major changes and you can now access UVa Alumni through the HoosOnline Network.

We encourage you to set-up an account on the Network to find alumni who are living and working in geographic areas that may be of interest to you (this can be done from on or off Grounds).

You have to register/set-up an account and with in 48 hours you will have your own log-in.  Go to, www.hoosonline.virginia.edu/ucan
