Dear Students,
We are happy to offer an annual award directed at completion of Flight Ground School and approximately 10 hours of certified flight instruction. It is the purpose of this award to support young women in exploring the possibility and experience of flight, and is given in recognition of a desire to support the ranks of women in the aviationand aeronautical fields. The award is for women, and preference will be given to a rising thirt-year student. If interested, please see selection criteria and application. WOMEN WITH WINGS
A $2,000 award will be made to a full time female student, preferably a rising third-year student (not an absolute) in the School of Engineering & Applied Sciences.
Selection Criteria
- Applicant must be enrolled full-time (nine academic units or more).
- Applicants must be a rising third-year student or in their third year or first semester of their fourth year at the time of application.
- Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or the Arithmetic Equivalent.
- Applicant must be a US Citizen.
- Applicants should be interested in an aviation or aeronautical engineering career.
- Demonstration of financial need is not required
