Employers Welcome Employers! Thank you for your interest in the students of the School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS) at the University of Virginia. We look forward to working with you to assist you in your recruiting efforts! The Center for Engineering Career Development is an independent career services office at the University of Virginia, under the direction of the Office of the Dean of Engineering and Applied Science. Engineering Career Development is served by the University Career Services Office, which provides the following services to our engineering students:
Our office provides comprehensive career development services for all engineering students from first year through graduate level, including engineering alumni. We begin encouraging students to prepare for their professional career in their first year. We strongly believe that all students should have a strategy in place to ensure that they will have either a career-related internship or cooperative experience prior to graduation. As a recuiter of engineers from the Univesity of Virginia, we can offer consulting services on how to successfully recruit in SEAS. We can assist in developing a recruiting strategy specifically tailored to the engineering students. As an engineering employer it is very important to establish and maintain an on-going relationship directly with the SEAS Administration and Faculty as well as the students. Our mission, as part of the Dean's Office, is to directly serve the engineering students through professional advising and counseling. We assist them in understanding the job search and career self-management processes in order to prepare them to make career changes and decisions throughout their professional careers. | ||
