United States Citizens

  • I-9 Form
      Section I to be completed before or by first day of work. The Federal Law Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA) requires that employers examine documents on all new employees. This is to verify identity, U.S. citizenship, or the authorization of aliens to be employed in the U.S. Proper original forms of I.D. must be available for scanning before permitted to legally work.
  • Please submit the following online in Oracle on the UVA Employee Self-Service Online System:

  • Tax Forms - **Foreign National students will need to see a tax specialist concerning tax forms and tax exemptions**

Foreign National students must present the following to the Graduate Financial Aid Administrator (Ms. Wicks) in order to process payroll:

  • A valid passport with visa and I-94
  • A social security card - you will have to wait until you actually receive the card in the mail -- this may take approximately three (3) weeks.
