*The 2002 REU Program created a unique collaborative opportunity for participants to contribute to the development of a web-based multi-media program in development by the UVa MRSEC. Students were able to focus on projects in the areas of "Multi-media Educational Visualization of an Atomic Force Microscope," "Multi-media Educational Visualization of an Scanning Electron Microscope," and "Multi-media Educational Visualization on the Focused Ion Beam."
