Resumes are one method that prospective employers use to get to know you. A well-crafted resume tells an employer about your qualifications and experience; it can also demonstrate your professionalism, communication skills, and the quality of your work. The resume helps form the employer's first impression of you.

The purpose of the resume is to show a reader that you are a great fit for the opportunity you have applied to and to receive an offer for an interview. We encourage you to use the resources below to help you draft your first resume or revise an existing one. Then, visit our office during walk-in hours (1:30pm-3pm Mon&Tue, 9:30am-11am Wed&Thur) to meet with a CECD staff member and have your resume reviewed before you submit it! Alternatively, if walk-in hours do not match your schedule, call us (924-3050) to schedule an appointment.
