Engineering Science Bachelor’s Degree

The PRODUCED program provides a special educational opportunity for students seeking a different pathway to the engineering bachelor’s degree. Studying full or part-time from their Virginia community, students in PRODUCED can connect into live, interactive webcast classes taught by UVA faculty located in Charlottesville. Simultaneously, these students can pursue year-round, paid engineering apprenticeships with high tech employers. While an apprenticeship is not required, academically-strong students with engineering work experience have been the most sought after program graduates.

Students considering transfer to the University of Virginia engineering school via the PRODUCED program will be able to earn a degree in Engineering Science with either part-time or full-time enrollment. Courses in the U.Va. portion of the program are taught by U.Va. Engineering faculty and, on occasion, qualified adjunct instructors. The program's interactive courses are delivered in real-time, during the day via the internet to students with computers that meet required performance specifications.
