Engineering in Context Projects

Your imagination is the only limitation! EIC projects have ranged from a mobile robotic device to provide surveillance data to police SWAT teams, a portable river power generator, water purification devices for African communities, to a car bomb detection system for checkpoints in Iraq.

EIC teams consist of engineering students from across all disciplines within the Engineering School, but may also include students from commerce, nursing, business, education or architecture. Our list of past clients includes Lockheed Martin, Nelson Physical Therapy, Aker Wade Technologies, UVA School of Nursing, Sperry Marine, Veritas Vineyards, US Army, Northrup Grumman, Peace Corps and humanity.
