There are two ways to join an EIC capstone/thesis project: enroll in ENGR 302 "Introduction to Engineering In Context" during the Spring semester of your 3rd year and develop a project proposal, or join an emerging EIC project at the start of your 4th year.
Getting on the Engineering In Context Program track to a multidisciplinary senior thesis/capstone project is easy: just register for ENGR 302 in the Spring semester of your 3rd year.
If you did not take ENGR 302 in the Spring of your 3rd year, you can still participate in the EIC multi-disciplinary capstone by joining an EIC project team at the start of your 4th year. These teams emerge from ENGR 302 with a problem and a strategy for solution. One of the first things they need to do is recruit additional team members that can provide the expertise needed to develop a solution. You need only consult this website for information on current EIC projects, and get in touch with the contact person identified for that team.
